Glorious Conclusion to the 2025 Synod: A Day to Remember in the Diocese of Oji River
Today marked the grand conclusion of the Third Session of the Ninth Synod of the Diocese of Oji River, and to the glory of God, it was indeed a glorious and historic day.
Key Highlights of the Day
- Launching of the University of Oji River
One of the most significant milestones of the Synod was the official launching of the University of Oji River. This long-awaited development is a bold step towards the academic and spiritual advancement of our people and a testament to the vision and commitment of the Diocese to holistic growth. - Appreciation and Mandate from the Bishop
In his closing remarks, our Lord Bishop expressed deep gratitude to the Agbadala Community and Ven. S. O. Obiukwu (JP) for their unwavering efforts, resilience, and dedication towards the success of Synod 2025. Their contribution was not just recognized but celebrated.
The Bishop then issued a heartfelt charge to the people of Isikwe, urging them to “fly above the others” and take up the flag to a higher level as they prepare to host and lead in the next phase of our synodical journey.
New Appointments Announced
As part of the Synod’s closing proceedings, the Bishop graciously announced new appointments, marking a new chapter in the leadership and spiritual stewardship of the Diocese.
